Tristen did not want to take a nap today. We played hard. After Calvin got home from school we were playing in the play room. Tristen left to go to the living room (we assumed to grab more trucks and cars). When we went to see what the hold up was (after a few minutes) we found him sound asleep in the recliner.
I guess little man decided he needed to rest his eyes after all.
Tristen has been scooting right along with his balance bike. He has grown confident that he even kicks his little feet up off the ground to cruise (at a pretty good speed) without touching the ground. Which is why he now is encouraged to always wear a helmet.
This is my view from our morning power walk. I love looking down and watching them talk, giggle, sing, SHOUT, and enjoy the fresh air and LIFE.

These small beefy boy hands are growing. One day soon his hands will be bigger than mine. One day soon he will ask to snuggle another girl on the couch and hold her hand. For now, I am treasuring that the snuggle and hand holding are with me.
Fresh air and a smooth ride of the jogging stroller is no match for a tired toddler.

We love spending quality time together as a family… but sometimes it is nice to get away and spend quality time with JUST each other.
